How to Make Thandai
Ingredients for Sardai mixture
1 tbsp Poppy seeds (soaked)
1 cup Almonds (soaked)
5 tbsp Sugar
½ tsp whole black pepper
1 tsp Green Cardamom
4 tbsp dried melon seeds
½ cup water
Ingredients for Sardai:
Sardai Mixture (Already Prepared)
1 cup Ice cubes
2 cup water
Crushed Almonds (as needed for topping)
Instructions for Sardai Mixture:
1. First of all, add poppy seeds, soaked almonds, in a clay pot & grind them well (you can use mortar & pestle for this purpose)
2. Then add sugar, whole black peppers, green cardamoms, dried melon seeds, & grind again
3. Add ½ cup water & mix well by adding water again . Sardai mixture is ready
Instructions for Sardai:
1. Put the sardai mixture (which is already prepared), ice cubes, 2 cup water in a grinder then grind well
2. Take a muslin cloth & keep it in a bowl, then pour the grinded mixture (which we have prepared in previous step).
3. pick up this cloth from the top and squeeze it until all the liquid mixture came out
4. Add this squeezed mixture into glass then complete topping with the help of crushed almonds
5. Your traditional sardai is ready to serve
سردائی مکسچرکے اجزاء خشخاش 1 کھانے کا چمچ بادام 1 کپ چینی 6-8 کھانے کے چمچ کالی مرچ ایک چوتھائی کھانے کا چمچ سبز ایلایچی 7-8 عدد چار مغز 4 کھانے کے چمچ پانی ایک چوتھائی کپ سردائی بنانے کے اجزاء سردائی مکسچر حسبِ ضرورت برف 1 کپ پانی 2 کپ
سردائی بمکسچر بنانے کی ترکیب مٹی کی کونڈی میں بادام، خشخاش ڈال کر اچھی طرح پیس لیں۔ تھوڑی تھوڑی دیر میں 5-6 کھانے کے چمچ پانی ڈال کراچھی طرح پیس لیں۔ اب اس میں چینی، کالی مرچ، سبز ایلایچی، چار مغز ڈال کر اچھی طرح پیسٹ بنا لیں۔ سردائی بنانے کی ترکیب ایک گرائینڈر میں سردائی مکسچر، پانی ،برف ڈال کر گرائینڈ کر لیں۔ اب ایک برتن پر ململ کا پڑا رکھ کر گراینڈ مکسچر کو چھان لیں۔ اب اس چھنے ہوئے پانی کو گلاس میں ڈال لیں اور اس پر کرش کیے ہوئے بادام ڈال لیں ۔ آپکی مزے دار سردا
